I have been involved with various different Nonprofit over the years but I can truly say Orphans Tree has been one of the best Ministries I have ever been associated with or served with.

Serving the needs of the Orphan graduates in Russia is a huge issue in Russia with over 800,000 Orphans in that country. The Ministry is focused on helping these orphans through various different programs staffed by Russian citizens who are passionate about helping their Orphans. The Russian orphan is literally labeled on their citizenship ID as a ORPHAN. Talk about having two strikes against you before you even get up to the plate ! They are treated as second rate citizens and have very limited opportunities in a country with limited opportunities to begin with. They have in most cases not had the loving, compassionate care of a mother or father from birth. have spent their entire childhood going from one institution to another. They are then thrown out into the streets of very Harsh world and then what ? In most cases being ill equipped in almost all ways of this world, they do whatever they have to do to survive, from prostitution, crime and drugs to suicide unfortunately in many cases.

Orphans tree is all about giving these young adults a chance, some HOPE that there is a reason to live in this world. To help them focus on their future rather than a past that they never had any control over. I am passionate about this Ministry because it is a PASSIONATE ministry. From offering Psychological services and mentoring young single mothers, a dacha program where young adult orphans can get engaged in outdoor activities like farming vegetables to caring for animals. Just two programs amongst many that focus on the immediate needs of these many desperate young adults involved in desperate situations.

If someone is looking to serve others who truly need their help it's a great Ministry to get involved with !
