Canopy has transformed streets in a number of Bay Area communities by adding thousands of trees. The staff includes experienced arborists, community activists, and over twenty teens trained in arboriculture who have gone on to become community leaders. With nearly thirty years of experience, Canopy knows how to work with city governments and community leaders to make things happen.

With a relatively small, well-organized staff, lots of volunteers, a can-do attitude, strong partners and a clear vision, Canopy has shown how successful it can be in changing neighborhoods and cities like Palo Alto and East Palo Alto. They've been at it almost twenty years and have enriched those cities with close to 4,000 trees, not to mention the countless hours of advocacy. Yes, I am a huge fan of Canopy.
