As a nurse in the Texas Medical Center, I can't stress enough the need for temporary housing for patients and families who come to us from all over the world seeking specialized care. Sarcoma patients are no exception. In fact, few sarcoma patients can get the care they need outside of a high volume sarcoma center. This means travel and lodging which is not typically covered by insurance. For years, I have turned to the Amschwand Sarcoma Cancer Foundation to help patients needing housing assistance. The organization has been a blessing to many of my patients and I know so many others. Thank you to the Amschwand Sarcoma Cancer Foundation for being such a tremendous resource to those in need.
