Review for San Jose Museum Of Quilts & Textiles, San Jose, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Years ago I attended an exhibit here and was blown away by the quality of artwork. The museum is small, but the exhibit I saw was truly breath-taking. The people who run this museum are very passionate about what they do, progressive minded and committed to community involvment.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the exceptional quality of the exhibits I saw.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

publicize more to nearby cities.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

great exhibits that exceeded my expectations.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

passionate, smart, dedicated, progressive.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

house a much bigger facility, publicize more, offer more classes, publish photo books on exhibits, get involved in off-site events/activities.

Ways to make it better...

there was easier parking.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

One time

Review for Triton Museum Of Art, Santa Clara, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

This is truly a great community based museum. It consistently features high quality exhibits, charges no admission, and offers classes. It is run by great people, including some art teachers from nearby Mission College. I think it is the right size too -- not so big that it overwhelms you with content. This museum is so great, I have even considered moving to Santa Clara just to be near this museum. It is refreshing to know that suburbs can have great museums too!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the great joy I have every time I go there.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

offer more classes, publicize the classes more widely (to neighboring cities).

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

quality of exhibits

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

great, generous, community minded people passionate in what they do. They even get high school students involved in their events.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

offer more classes, open facilities in other suburbs.

Ways to make it better...

there were more classes

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

I don't know.

One thing I'd also say is that...

Lots of free parking too, and next door to other museums (local history, etc.).

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every six months
