I have been involved with Mickaboo for just over ten years now, and one of my personal passions is helping the sick and injured members of the wild parrot flock in San Francisco. It takes an organization with the dedication, knowledge and resources of Mickaboo to help all of these birds and when possible, get them back home to their natural family flock. Just this week we took in another one of these poor birds. We are very fortunate to have a such a dedicated core group of volunteers to make what we do as a team to help so many birds possible, while sending all of our fundraising towards paying for their veterinary care.

Mickaboo respond to just about anything from doves deserted in Libraries (by magicians!) to tragic cases of neglect and birds even found alone after their owner passes away. Funds are carefully and shrewdly managed and the sheer volume of companion birds that Mickaboo is supporting continues to grow - and yet the network copes through efficient communication and a very dedicated bunch of wonderful volunteers. Even if contacts are remote Mickaboo will do what they can to assist.
