Mickaboo Companion Bird Rescue is a wonderful organization to adopt from and to volunteer for. They truly do care about doing their utmost to ensure a good, loving home and the best care for each bird, and they support fosters and adopters with detailed bird care information and sharing of experiences. Many of the volunteers have gone above and beyond to transport birds needing medical care, needing to be brought in from a surrenderer to a foster home, or needing to get to a new forever home. The organization pays thousands of dollars in avian vet bills for its charges, and over 99% of all donations go toward this purpose.

With the current problems of parrot overpopulation and a lack of education about their needs, bird rescue is a little-known but much-needed resource. Supporting Mickaboo enables them to provide the medical and emotional care so many of these birds need so badly.
