I wanted to help poor children in some way. Fortunately, one day I received a mailing from Salesian Missions. After reading the contents and looking at their website ( you should check out their website---it's really informative ) I was convinced that this was the organization I wanted to support. Their philosophy of "helping poor children to help themselves" and their focus on teaching job skills to young people so that they could find gainful employment, really resonated with me. I also enjoy receiving their inspirational poetry books, their magazine and their e-newsletters. The fact that 85% of my donation goes to the support of programs was also a strong factor in partnering with this organization. As a donor to Salesian Missions, I truly feel that I am helping to make the world a better place. It makes me feel good to make their mission , my mission!
