Review for PACIFIC ARTS ASSOCIATION, Blaine, WA, USA
My son first attended the festival the summer before his Freshman year in high school. He then went on to become the very first Freshman to make it into Jazz I in the school's history. I believe it was solely due to the caliber and relaxed atmosphere of the faculty that is brought in to teach. Even though the camp is small and inexpensive, they are able to bring in master musician's from around the country. As a 13 year old, he was exposed to music theory that he normally wouldn't have experienced until a much later age. It grew his confidence and made him want to excel. I truly believe, that Drayton Harbor was what started and encouraged his music career. He has attended the camp for the past 4 years and will be graduating this year and heading to college on a music scholarship.
Thank you of your thoughtful review, Krista21. We appreciate knowing your son has had a positive experience during our music festival and camp. On behalf of Pacific Arts Association, congratulations to your son on his music scholarship and taking the next step in his musical and academic education!
