I greatly appreciate the courage that Dr. Pamela Brewer exhibits on Myndtalk; taking on the tough and most current subjects facing today’s culture as a whole. I enjoyed the opportunity that was given to me and my colleague to discuss in a positive and scholarly manner, the effect of community violence on adults, children and families who live in many of Maryland’s marginalized communities. Media outlets such as Myndtalk are essential resources for educators, community representatives and Non-profit stakeholders; allowing for an unbiased gathering place that promotes positive conversation over issues and concerns.
