My Nonprofit Reviews

My wife and I are financial supporters of the nonprofit The Mentoring Network Inc. This organization has done a remarkable service to our area by organizing volunteer mentors to spend an hour or so each week with a student from one of several local rural school districts. The students are referred by the school counselors because of a variety of social and academic needs.
The program has been very successful at furnishing the student with an interested friend to help the student keep an interest in school and relationships. The graduation rate of the mentored students is very high and the need for legal interaction is very rare in this group.
The program is run with minimal staff but with great success. This is money well spent!
