I work as a volunteer helping to serve dinner. Every time I have gone, I found the center to be clean, well-lit and inviting to all the youth that would come. There is a sense of appreciation, too, of the good the center does for them as every single meal ends with at least a few of the kids thanking the volunteers for dinner. It has the feel of a safe space and on the only time I have witnessed an altercation among the youth, it was quickly taken outside an deescalated by staff. I'm very impressed with the services they provide and feel it makes a real difference which is why I continue to volunteer, if only to help in a small way to a greater cause.
