The United Way has a long and storied history of service to the community, and I'm proud of the work its Education Council does to ensure educational opportunities and resources are provided to those citizens, agencies and programs that are rendering effective services throughout Pickens County. It does indeed, as the adage goes, take a village to raise a child--the United Way continues to invest in the people that are the dutiful stewards of the greater Pickens County village, and our children are the ultimate beneficiaries!
