Yellow Ribbon Fund- I cannot thank you enough!
Last year my husband was in-patient at The Walter Reed Naval Hospital Bethesda.It was such a hard time for us especially our 4 year old son because there was not much activity to distract us from the "feeling of being in a hospital".Until Yellow Ribbon Fund came along and changed everything.They were so kind to offer free 90 minute hot stone massages and Manicures and Pedicures for spouses/caregivers at a time when I needed it most.These were my most precious moments because I got to take time off being a caregiver and mom and just enjoy a peaceful, relaxing massage.
Yellow Ribbon Fund also gave us tickets to watch baseball games and yes! this was just the perfect distraction my husband and my son needed.
To crown it all, my husband recently got medically retired from The Marine Corps after serving for 11 years and he didn't know the next step but Yellow Ribbon Fund stepped in to give us a sense of direction during the tough transition, they gave us an opportunity to go back to school.We both recieved full scholarships to attend Colorado Tech University and now we are studying, enjoying learning new things together each day and enjoying our transition.
Thank you Yellow Ribbon Fund for being their for us during tough times, thank you for taking care of my family and giving us the tools to suceed in life.You have been such a gift for us and we shall forever be greatful.
