Asked them to help a badly neglected pony and got no help whatsoever. The owner ended up sending him to the auction because they refused to help him. Shame on them.
We are sorry you feel the need to give us a poor review. Did you contact the NJ SPCA or Dept of Agriculture about the pony in question if it was badly neglected? We don't have legal authority to remove a neglected horse or pony, the NJ SPCA or animal control would have to be called in. We also have 38 horses and ponies currently in our care and we are limited in how many we can help if we are unable to adopt out the companion horses we have currently. Did the owner make an effort to find a home before sending the pony to the auction? Were other rescue groups contacted to see if they have room? Would it have been possible for you to take the pony in and board the pony until a home could be found?
