Review for VFW National Home , Eaton Rapids, MI, USA
The National Home for Children is thrilling to visit, but limited in its capacity at the Michigan campus. I am much more impressed by its attempts to move out of the "local community" with its outreach to military families in other states and a program to assist those families where they live. There will always be orphans, but thankfully they are fewer now. I believe the Home's new direction lies in its efforts to fix the broken families all across the nation.

provide additional services to military families outside Michigan. I believe it would take a billion bucks to build an additional campus of the same quality.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
to serve the entire military community in order to preserve its national support. The Home's outreach program must be able to unite families with capable and willing support groups near the families' established residence.
