I have been a supporter of this organization for many years. They provide a vital service for animal rights: ALDF changes the legal landscape for the benefit of animals. Some organizations help with bringing issues to the public, and some charities are grassroots rescue and response. This organization helps to change the laws to protect animals and prosecute abusers, pushing back against the myriad of animal atrocities.

I think this is a wonderful charity that provides a safe and loving home for blind cats who wouldn't normally be adopted into permanent homes. They provide these special-needs cats with wonderful veternarian care, love and stimulation until they go to kitty-heaven.

I also like the fact that they reach out to other cats in need (not in their shelter) by sponsoring spays/neuters and raising money to provide fire departments with cat/dog oxygen facemasks.
