Born of an idea that being different shouldn't mean you're heartlessly destroyed, the entire crew of people, and cats, at BCR put in their just share of time to keep things running smoothly, spread awareness that blind & chronically ill cats can live happy, beautiful lives, and to educate all of us on compassionate care. Their work has opened up possibilities for animals around the world, as they guide and inspire others. And they have an amazing practical outreach at ground level too, by sponsoring healthful programs for community cats and doing other good works. BCR is solid, well run, and has a far greater effect than you'd expect from their size. I donate as I can, knowing my donations are well spent.

Everything these wonderful people do is for the cats, and Alana Miller has clearly taken thought for the future of this sanctuary, as well. The cats receive loving care from workers and donors alike, and BCR does constant, well-placed promotions so that they can continue to find new patrons, donors and funding-- they are tireless in their efforts. A wonderful concept with careful and thoughtful administration, and caring folks.
