I serendipitously stumbled upon Active Minds' website on the one-year anniversary of my father's death by suicide. Starting a chapter on my college campus to advocate for mental health and suicide awareness has been the most fulfilling experience in my life. The national office works tirelessly to provide its 400+ chapters with creative ideas, resources, speakers, programs, and leadership opportunities. There are so many ways to shape, change, and save lives through Active Minds, and I am so grateful to be a part of this organization.
