Review for Yellow Ribbon Fund Inc, Bethesda, MD, USA
I have been volunteering with YRF since 2007 and have had nothing but wonderful experiences with the organization. It is just awesome to be a part of an organization that does so much for our troops. I am so honored and privileged to be a part of it. The events that the YRF sponsors, from the cookouts in the courtyard to the Meet and greets are much appreciated by the families and staff of WRAMC. To see the smiles on the face of an injured troop and/or their families makes it that much more special. I just love it.....I just love giving back, even in the smallest of ways and the YRF provides a way for me to do this through their events. I volunteered to prepare and serve Christmas dinner at WRAMC in Dec 2009. My mom, daughter and daughter in law wanted to help. Wow it was the best christmas ever for all of us. One soldier thanked me and I told him NO "thank you for everything that you have done for us". The Yellow Ribbon Fund staff is awesome, they go above and beyond and they truly care and love what they do!!! That makes all the difference in the world. I plan to continue my volunteer relationship with the YRF forever :-)!!!
