I have just returned from spending a week at the Casa de Maria in Santa Barbara with the Simonton Cancer Counseling Center. I was the support person for my sister who has breast cancer. Before attending this healing retreat I read the books by Carl Simonton who stresses the mind-body connection and other valuable techniques for working closely with one's doctor in achieving one's own healing. Already a proponent of his ideas I found a wealth of information in dealing with my own health issues. I am encouraged and feel that I received invaluable techniques that I can apply in improving my own health. I would highly recommend this program to anyone seeking successful alternatives to the present harsh and unbending standard treatment for cancer. P. MacKaron
