I have been a volunteer for PHS for over seven years, mostly in the Pet Assisted Therapy program, but I have also helped out in the Cat TLC program. My wife and daughters have as well. Their services are wide-ranging and there are a numerous opportunities for the public to get involved, even for young adults. They have a very dedicated staff (both the paid staff and volunteers) who all seem to enjoy and believe in what they do. For those of us who participate in programs out in the community, it is important that we have support (event coordination, materials, etc.) and the PHS staff is very attentive to our needs. PHS is a great organization for pets, wildlife, and the people who care for them.
