After losing my PHS /SPCA rescue dog Teneka, a certified canine companion my search at the PHS begins again in 2009. My rescue adoption of Teneka was 5 star from the moment I walked in the door. From greeter, staff workers, dog handlers to completion of adoption paperwork. ( same applies to below adoption)
My 2009 interaction with PHS/SPCA started with 3 year old rescue dog, Pearle. (Aka Madonna-A462826). Madonna she was not! A dog so cute that was able to make other dog owners run when they saw Pearle coming. Returning Pearle was not an option I accepted. Biting is a no-no in the readopting world.
Group training was not an option. With PHS guidance, support and tools assisting me ( an experienced dog & cat owner.) dealing with a severely abused & neglected dog. Pearle, now 9 yr old senior citizen with a happy tail wagging. PHS did a few one on one sessions with Pearle & I .
An animal lover and a believer in PHS/SPCA .... Six months ago I became a volunteer.
