I've been volunteering with Downtown Dog Rescue since 2011. This is an amazing organization with a lot of volunteer opportunities such as fostering, transporting, volunteering at clinics and much more. DDR believes in second chances for both dogs and people and really gets down to the root of the problem. DDR mainly serves low income pet owners in under served communities in Los Angeles County.

A Purposeful Rescue is one of a kind. They rescue senior dogs, medical dogs and have taken in many dogs who need hospice care so they don't have to spend their final moments on a cold shelter floor. I highly recommend this rescue.
