Review for Wolf Conservation Center Inc, South Salem, NY, USA
Once again our visit to the Wolf Conservation Center exceeded our expectations. The caring staff and volunteers made our visit spectacular. I love WCC because I believe in their mission to "teach people about wolves, their relationship to the environment and the human role in protecting their future." Only through education will people begin to realize that wolves are an essential part to any healthy ecosystem. No question was a silly question for our program leaders. They made everyone feel welcomed! Beyond the education aspect, WCC is just beyond beautiful. It is my peaceful place in this crazy world...and I travel from 5 hours away. If you haven't visited, please make time to go. You will not be disappointed. In fact, we are planning our next trip.

The Wolf Conservation Center is an amazing place. My family has had the privilege of visiting multiple times and are visiting again in October. Each visit we learn something new about these misunderstood animals. We live 5 hours away in Virginia and look forward to our visit each trip.
WCC has four ambassador wolves that teach visitors about their wild kin and they do an amazing job! The programs are family friendly, engaging and fun! WCC staff and volunteers are fantastic. Each staff member I have meet has been more than accommodating during our visit. They are knowledgeable and they really care that visitors learn the importance of the wolf to our ecosystem.
In addition to the center's ambassador wolves, WCC is part of the species survival program and significantly contributes to maintaining the genetic integrity of critically endangered wolves-Mexican gray wolves and Red Wolves. WCC conservation efforts are unsurpassed and I respect the work that they do on the wolf's behalf.
The WCC works tirelessly to dispel the myth of the big bad wolf. Please take the time to visit, learn and fall in love with wolves. WCC's core value is "its belief that education can be a positive catalyst for change!"

After being an enthusiastic follower and supporter of the Wolf Conservation Center (WCC) for more than 5 years, my family recently had the opportunity to visit this amazing center. My hopes and expectations for our visit were not only fulfilled, they were surpassed!! The WCC strives to teach "people about wolves, their relationship to the environment and the human role in protecting their future." They accomplish their goal through engaging on-site educational programs (for both adults and children), workshops, special events, community involvement, an active webcam community, fun and informative social media postings and a fabulous informative website. The staff, program leaders, and all volunteers are extremely knowledgeable, engaging, inspiring, friendly and very caring. Most importantly, they really want visitors to learn and to be able to walk away with a better understanding and appreciation of these amazing and often misunderstood creatures.
The wolves that call the WCC home are surrounded in the beauty of the South Salem, NY area. The center currently has 4 ambassador wolves, Atka, Zephyr, Alawa and Nikai, who help to educate the public about their kin in the wild. The WCC was accepted and participates in two Species Survival Plan programs-the red wolves SSP (WCC currently has a family of 10) and the mexican gray wolves SSP (currently 12 wolves). Both the red wolf and the mexican gray wolf are considered critically endangered and I applaud the WCC efforts to restore these essential species.
There really are not enough positive adjectives that I can use to describe our wonderful experience at the Wolf Conservation Center. Please make a point to visit and join in the fun!!
