The Strand's marquis shines like a beacon on the Marietta Square. The theatre offers a variety of movies, plays, concerts, art exhibits, and events and has inspired an entire community through it's quality of shows and historic preservation. The economic impact the theatre has on the local shops and restaurants has been profound, as most theatre guests will eat or shop on the Square before attending a show. The rooftop terrace provides the best view of Kennesaw Mountain and Glover Park on the Marietta Square. The theatre has created such an impression, it has attracted the Atlanta Lyric Theatre and has built a successful partnership with them. Initially, The Strand's goal was to host 100 events in their first year. They surpassed their goal by doing 500, and although the staff is quite small, this number is a testimonial to the dedication and passion each person possesses. Earl Reece is a pillar in the community and is highly respected. He has assembled a staff of individuals with integrity and excellence. Under his leardership, the Strand has been an important addition to our community and continues to be a vital draw for tourism.
