Review for Wounded Warrior Project, Jacksonville, FL, USA
Wounded Warrior Project has been with me since the beginning of my treatment process. They were there for me when I landed in Germany on my way from Afghanistan to Ft. Sill where I would receive treatment. When I was in Germany, they made sure that I was properly clothed since I was coming from a much warmer climate. Their service to me did not stop there. They helped in my and many other's healing process while at Ft. Sill Warrior Transition Unit where I and my fellow soldiers received treatment for our injuries. They supplied bicycles for us to find alternate means of fitness. For me, this helped relieve a lot of stress and helped me feel better about leaving my unit in Afghanistan. I was able to help my fellow soldiers find joy in cycling and this allowed me to feel better about leaving my unit behind.
While at the Warrior Transition Unit and after getting out, the Wounded Warrior Project has been a great help by maintaining contact with me consistently. They periodically will send me on trips with other Warriors to show me new and exciting ways to enjoy the sport of bicycling. Right, now they are helping me with my disibility claim with the VA. I can not say enough about this organization that has touched my life and my heart. It is always nice to know that with the number of veterans that they serve, they never make me feel forgotten or like another number to them.
