I made some donations to the NGO in India for a project undertaken by them through India Development and Relief Fund, Inc, based in USA. Overall my experience was very good and everything went smoothly. I also found out about this 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt organization through my friends who have been making donations to IDRF for several years now. I found out they have a very low overhead/admin costs and 95 cents out of every dollar you donate to them goes to the beneficiary.
