My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for LaunchAbility, Dallas, TX, USA
My son was shaken when he was two months old by someone that was very trusted. At that moment, my world feel apart! He was in the hospital for 6 weeks. When he came home, I was lost and did not know where to turn. Luckily, an Early Chiildhood Intervention program did a community outreach presentation at the Head Start of Greater Dallas organization. My sister-in-law is a Social Worker there and referred me to the program. We were sent to Special Care & Career Services for help. They contacted me and we began our jouney together to help my son heal from his brain injury. By the time my son graduated from the program, he had improved tremendously. The Occupational Therapist had him crawling around the house, the Speech Therapist had him communicating to me in sign language and the Early Childhood Interventionist had him enrolled in horse riding therpy. Without the help and support of this wonderful organization, my son would not be where he is today. He is in school doing very well but misses his team at Special Care & Career Services, too!
