Review for All Vegas Horses / L.E.A.N., Las Vegas, NV, USA

Rating: 5 stars

This organization is truly dedicated to their mission. This is not some backyard hoarder, or someone that is profiting from these animals that have been sorely let down by their former owners. LEAN spreads the workload out amoungst its members so that each foster can provide the best possible care for a horse, or in some cases, horses. This of course includes feeding, grooming, stall maintenance, medical care and sometimes training and lessons in good manners. The final step is to find a forever home for the horse through a thorough adoption process.

The guiding principle is always, "Do what's best for the horse". They have saved dozens of horses with this method, and along the way people have had great experiences with these rescues.

These are the good guys.

I have been following this organization since it's inception, and I wish to express my admiration for the selfless work these men and women have done for abused, neglected and abandoned animals. Not only have they saved many lives, and improved the quality of life for many others, they are providing a community service and working with Clark County to reduce the cost and complexity of dealing with these animals.

The genius of their plan is to spread the load out to as many people as possible. Can volunteer a little time or a little money great, or if you're a major benefactor there is room for you too. Also this method can be replicated anywhere as you don't need a building, land, storage, vehicles in the name of the charity, the people involved provide these things.

Highly motivated, highly ethical, and highly effective, too bad there isn't a 5-star+ rating.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
