Review for Children of the Americas (COTA), Lexington, KY, USA
Despite the frustrations of the pandemic, COTA remains committed to providing much needed care to Guatemalan patients. COTA is full of people with big hearts who are committed to travel in early 2023 for our first mission trip in over three years due to global health concerns. Please consider donating to this very worthwhile cause!

The volunteers in this Organization have their hearts in the right place. Despite limited Team travel due to the pandemic, COTA and its volunteers started a much needed food distribution project getting needed nutrition to women and children in Guatemala. I've been blessed to be a volunteer in this wonderful organization for 17 years. Looking forward with great anticipation to our next Team trip to see old friends and make new ones as we improve the welfare of Guatemala's women and children.

Every January for the past 10 years or so, I've had the good fortune of spending a week with COTA volunteers doing medical mission work in Guatemala. This past January was no exception as we worked together in Salama where medical, surgical, pharmaceutical and dental care were provided. Over 8000 encounters were achieved in one week through cooperation, communication and a good deal of "elbow grease"!
In providing health care to Guatemalans and working alongside these wonderful COTA volunteers, one gains so much more than one gives!

A remarkable organization doing wonderful things for those in need in Guatemala. I have participated for about 10 years with this group and each year easily reconnect with past volunteers as well as develop new friendships. Every January when we travel to Guatemala, I eagerly wait to greet our in-country friends and volunteers, many of whom were former patients. The experience is life-changing!
