I feel so lucky to have worked with such a wonderful organization. The trip with Karam Foundation to Turkey was truly one of the most rewarding humanitarian trips I have been on thus far. My favorite part of Karam is their commitment to giving kids the tools and experiences they deserve to have as children. By running programs like art, yoga, photography, and storytelling, Karam gives children a vessel through which they can learn to express themselves in a way that is best for them. One of my favorite memories from the trip was when a middle school boy came up to me the day after he attended the yoga class with Karam. He told me that he did some of the yoga poses he learned before going to bed that night. He said that he loved the yoga class so much and planned on doing yoga every day because it makes him feel calm and happy. This is what Karam lives for.
