Review for Blind Cat Rescue & Sanctuary Inc, St. Pauls, NC, USA
Blind Cat Rescue has done an amazing job changing public perception of special needs cats through its work. Blind and FIV and FeLV cats used to be euthanized as a matter of policy at animal shelters around the country. Now, thanks in good part to BCR’s outreach and visibility, many find loving homes instead. BCR does a lot with its limited resources, providing lifetime sanctuary to its feline residents and showcasing them on its social media platforms.
Review for Animal Victory Disaster And Abuse Fund, Wilmington, NC, USA
There are precious few charities available to help when natural disasters or serious abuse endanger animals. That’s the important mission of the Animal Victory Disaster and Abuse Fund. With climate change increasing the prevalence of severe weather events, their services are more needed than ever.

Review for Blind Cat Rescue & Sanctuary Inc, St. Pauls, NC, USA
Nearly nine years ago, we were considering adopting a special-needs cat and were looking for information online. I came across the Blind Cat Rescue website, and it had exactly what we needed. I have been a supporter ever since. I have followed BCR's expansion, adding FELV and FIV cats to their program. Alana Miller's leadership is inspirational. Without BCR, most -- if not all -- the cats they serve would have been killed in shelters, or by cars or predators living outside. They have helped change public attitudes toward blind cats, helping many more around the country find loving adopted homes. We need more animal welfare groups like BCR!
