Review for Fabretto Children's Foundation, Evanston, IL, USA
I first met Fabretto Foundatoon in 2004 when I knew his president at a wedding. I went to Nicaragua, to Cusmapa and I falled in love with their work there. After seven years with my students ( I was a professor at Yale university) we created www.parqueparalapaz.org where we stand for a protected peace area arround the work of Fabretto in Nicaragua and Honduras. The proposal has been admited by the Honduras goverment and we hope to make it real and bring many ecoturists to the area to overocme poverty at the same time the forest receive more protectio.n I came back this summer again for my 8th time... Mine perhaps is a different type of volunteering but we are always welcome by the local people and the wonderful staff of Fabretto. What I love in Fabretto is that everything is well organized but at the same time you can free your creativity to try to give your best for the "chavalos", the children...
