Review for Blind Cat Rescue & Sanctuary Inc, St. Pauls, NC, USA
I am a long term volunteer for a no-kill, non-profit shelter in a major U.S. and I have followed BCRS for over a decade. What impresses me the most is their attitude not only towards their cats but towards their client-base and followers. To these folks, the cats come first and the client-base second with EVERYTHING else following. They keep their public informed, they give their public 100% transparency, 100% access on a 24/7 basis. They actually CORRESPOND with their clients and all of this brings in great donations for such a small entity with no apparent major corporation's contributions. They then take these funds and make things even better for the cats and increase their ability to handle additional cats. To these folks, this is not a job, it is not a business - it is a true labor of love.

These folks do everything it takes to get these special highest risk kitties the chance for life and love they deserve. They would instantly be put down at any normal shelter. They then share with the world the kitties' stories through a social media blitz matched by no one else that I have seen with scheduled live tours, 24/7 internet cameras, newsletters, contests and any other media they an think of all with a minimum number of paid staff and a host of great volunteers. They have a very high total donation to used for cat care ratio. Your money goes to the cats!
Review for Shadow Cats Rescue, Round Rock, TX, USA
We were introduced to Shadow Cats when fiends of ours were employed there as cat nannies. We went to visit Shadow Cats, a 2.5 hour drive, during an open house they had to show the public their newly renovated cat living areas. We were very impressed with the living conditions, the care and concern shown by the folks and their constantly striving to find ways to fund the organization so they could continue to provide for these cats. We were even more impressed with their community services as well. Making and taking donated gift baskets to a local elderly care facility to list just one example. These are great folks in every aspect and you don't have to wonder how much of your money actually goes to the cats - you can see that almost all of it is used for cat or community service causes!

I am impressed with the caring and professionalism of these folks. They are not hesitant to take the cats to a specialty clinic and spend whatever it takes to give the cats the best possible care or comfort and this is in thousands of dollars at times!!!!
