I am truly honored to be working at Gift of Life Bone Marrow Foundation. It’s such a great organization and I’m grateful that I have the opportunity to work with such wonderful staff and volunteers. It’s also very rewarding knowing how important each and every person’s role at Gift of Life really is, as we’re all helping give critically ill patients a second chance at life! I always encourage friends and family to join the registry and spread awareness about bone marrow and stem cell transplants.

There are so many great ways to get involved as Gift of Life hosts many bone marrow drives and events all over the United States and in Israel. My most memorable moment with Gift of Life is the day my husband, John Engler and I attended the annual Walk for Life in Boca Raton, FL. I encouraged John to join the registry and complete a cheek swab. A couple of years later, John received a phone call that he was a match for a patient in need of a stem cell transplant. John and I were absolutely ecstatic and of course he said "YES!" to donating his stem cells. All it takes is a simple cheek swab to save someone’s life!
