I've been a volunteer with Heartland Animal Shelter since 2008. I've also had the opportunity to volunteer with other animal welfare organizations. Heartland Animal Shelter is, without a doubt, the best shelter I've ever worked with. The caring shown to the animals is unparalleled. Both the staff and volunteers are dedicated to taking the best care of the animals they can and to spreading the word about the importance of animal adoption. i consider myself incredibly lucky to be able to be involved with Heartland Animal Shelter.
