Review for Operation Shoebox, Belleview, FL, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Operation Shoebox volunteers have one goal in mind - to put a smile on as many faces as possible. Our soldiers are far from home in dangerous situations so that we can live free and enjoy life. This nonprofit is all about the troops and how we can serve them. Mary Harper, founder and leader, is an angel who puts in six and many times seven days a week. Her dedication to the troops is an inspiration to all who know her, and there are over 500 volunteers who each do their part to pack ditty bags or Christmas stockings filled with goodies and love. Operation Shoebox is truly an exceptional nonprofit. Linda Bowman

Review for Operation Shoebox, Belleview, FL, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I continue to be amazed at the dedication and compassion of Mary Harper, the founder, and countless others who strive to make our troops feel appreciated.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the books of thank you letters from soldiers who have received encouragement from Operation Shoebox.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

think of more ways to raise funds.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the times a soldier comes in to personally thank us for what we do.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

totally committed to reaching as many of our troops as possible so they know they are not forgotten.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

fulfill every troop request.

Ways to make it better...

there were more days in the week so I could serve more time.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

continuing to acquire donations

One thing I'd also say is that...

funds raised go directly to supplies for care packages and postage to send them. We are all volunteers and are rewarded not with money but with pride in what this organization accomplishes.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every week

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
