I'm so thankful to have found this rescue online when I was faced with having to remove my Buster's eyes due to a genetic condition. He was a scared stray who was having difficulty relating to people. I was struggling with whether he could have any real quality of life as a blind 3 legged cat and was contemplating putting him down. The information I found on their website was enough for me to know Buster would be just fine. He was an amazing cat in spite of his handicaps! Their cat room cameras are fun to watch, and their newsletters provide information to educate cat owners on a variety of subjects. What a great shelter! There should be more shelters of this quality!

It was traumatic when my 3-legged rescued cat developed a genetic problem with his right eye requiring its removal. It was even more traumatic when the same thing developed 3 months later with his left eye resulting in a decision to make him blind. I found BCR through an online search. The information and videos on their website were such a help, and now I'm a monthly donor. My blind Buster is absolutely amazing! He and I both owe BCR a big thank you. I've also rescued FIV+ strays that have all done well and deserved a chance to enjoy life.
