We adopted two 5 year old female cats that had been dropped at the local "kill" shelter and then rescued by Robin's Nest. We got them at an adoption event at PetCo on US 31 a few months ago. These two have fit right in to our family, they show absolutely no fear of our two large dogs and are very loving and affectionate to their human "staff" members. Remember that when you get a pet from a rescue that they have been through a very traumatic experience and the Rescue is counting on you, the adopter, to help ensure the pet gets the extra care they will need.
