Review for Volunteers for Veterans Foundation, Fontana, CA, USA

Rating: 4 stars

The Department of Veteran Affairs has been a direct recipient of this awesome organization and people. For over 25 years. This group has worked tirelessly every year to raise funds to go directly to Veterans in need. They have provided funds for food, rent, utilities, car insurance, clothing, etc. I could go on and on about how much they have done not only for our hospitalized Veterans with providing support to many events and programs, including, Women Veterans, Returning Combat Veterans, Social Work Emergency Fund, Eyeglasses, Hygiene Kits, Vet Centers, Recreational Therapy and the Community Living Center.
I am so grateful to the Volks and committee for all their love and support for America's Hero's.

Review for Volunteers for Veterans Foundation, Fontana, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Volunteers for Veterans Foundation has been the answer to many prayers by the Loma Linda VA Healthcare System staff and veterans. i have had the pleasure of working with them for the past seventeen years. These committee members are the most dedicated, supportive and caring people I have ever met. They have donated more then one million dollars to our Medical Center, providing support for many programs, events and equiment needs that our hospital budget cannot support. These people work all year long to prepare for the wonderful event, Veterans Car Show. The distriution of these funds have gone to support, Homeless Veterans, OIF-OEF, Returning Combat Veterans, Women Veterans Program and awareness,Eyeglasses for those that do not meet the criteria or do not have funds of their own, POW Programs, Social Work Services, which provides food, bus tickets, gas cards, etc. to needy vets, they have in the past also donated a Ambulance Van to transport critical care patients, which has save the Medical Center over 1 million a year. To sum it up the Volunteers for Veterans Foundation and it's Committee members are the epitome of Volunteerism for our American Heroes.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

many ways. Feeding a needy vet, helping with rent, clothing, food, etc.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

NOT

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the care they give, their heart for Veterans.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

AWESOME

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

help them continue to do what they are so wonderful at doing, support veterans.

Ways to make it better...

could not be better they are awesome

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

that there are many veterans and more coming for help and support.

One thing I'd also say is that...

you will never meet such unselfish people in your life.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every week

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2010
