I am chair of the Department of Community Resource Development at University of Wisconsin Extension in Madison and I have been involved with WNP for over 20 years. Many of our faculty members have traveled to Nicaragua to work with the Nicaraguans on agricultural, community development, leadership, organizational development, planning, health, small business development and tourism promotion. WNP has been most supportive and professional in their collaboration and cooperation with the University of Wisconsin.

Currently I am working with Wisconsin beekeepers to teach basic beekeeping to people in Nicaragua to provide them with the education and training to become good beekeepers. The honey from one hive can double the annual income of many impoverished families. WNP has been most helpful in providing the administrative and logistical support for the NicAbeja Proyecto.
