I adopted my beautiful female pit bull from Merit over 2 years ago. They are an amazing group of devoted volunteers. I was impressed by the well rounded beliefs they had regarding this ostracized breed. They rescue, foster, educate, and heal. They are passionate spirits and loyal to their cause to promote the dissolution of "breed specific legislation". Which basically allows the ban of pit bull breed type dogs. Yes, there are laws forbidding and/or controlling the types of dog breeds someone can own and how to care for them. I highly recommend the Merit Group to anyone I know looking to adopt a pit bull. A honorable hard working group with hearts full of love and support.
