About 25 years ago, my wife and I bid on a subscription to the Miami Bach Society at an auction benefitting our son's school. We already had an interest in early music but we were delighted by the concerts we attended and continued to subscribe and to donate to the MBS. About 5 years ago my wife and I were invited to join the board of the MBS and we accepted. About 2 years ago we were named joint vice chairs of the board.

In October of this past year our beloved executive director passed away and we found ourselves acting as joint chairs of the board of the MBS. Some thought the MBS would not survive the death of our executive director but many chipped in and we have not only survived but have been able to present the finest early music to an ever growing public. This year we presented Avi Avital and the Venice Baroque, Fuoco e Cenere, Stile Antico and concluded with Les Arts Florissants. Next year we expect an equally brilliant program. We invite the interested public to become members of the society and to attend our concerts. We also have outreach programs that will be announced on our website. We look forward to a spectacular year.
