ABCD,INC was organized 42 yrs ago as an outgrowth of the Community Developers Program of the United Methodist Church and was initially known as Advocates of Black Community Development [ ABCD]. In 1987 the group went through an in depth strategic planning process which resulted in the adoption of the Community Development Corporation model as its direction.The name was changed to the Association for Better Community Development [ABCD].In 2010 the group became known as 'THE ABCD,INC'.It's Mission is to improve the quality of life of people primarily in Stark County through Community Economic Development,Energy Conservation, Housing Development and Transportation.The website is --www.theabcdinc.com--telephone--330-455-6385-address-1225 Gross Ave N.E.--Canton, Oh. 44705
