Thank you for setting the example for other communities and states that still have a long way to go in embracing the protection and care of God's creatures. I am from a rural community in Kentucky where no-kill shelters are a rarity and large dogs in particular are picked up and turned in to these shelters at an alarming rate. My husband and I have 7 rescue cats and 2 rescue dogs, all beautiful and loving. It warms my heart to hear about the progress being made across the South.
