My Ex (still a BFF) has been a Parole/Probation Officer in Philadelphia for 30 years. When I brought NLOL to his attention 3 years ago, his interest was piqued (we rescue) and he began to monitor the program's progress. He is a well-seasoned cynic and was blown away by the true, lasting effect this program has on everyone involved. Me? I've known for years that to help to integrate Men/Women into society there must be a touchstone. Dogs are the key to opening a person's eyes and heart. I am staying in Brielle, NJ this Summer...was wearing my NLOL tee at the local ShopRite and was stopped by an Employee who asked about the "DOC" imprint. We ended up talking for 30 minutes. He is running for a local Board. Guess who is hosting a fund-raiser?
