Review for Houston International Film Festival, Houston, TX, USA
The 43rd Annual WorldFest-Houston Intl Film Festival is a remarkable and wonderful annual event! Every April it premieres more than 150 new films from around the world, and it attended by more than 500 international filmmakers. They offer more than 200 scholarships to their six Master Classes in Film/Video Production. They literally discovered Spielberg, Lucas, Ang Lee, Ridley Scott, The Coen Brothers, Brian De Palma and David Lynch, among hundreds of others. The filmmakers are there to introduce their films and have a Q&A afterwards. It is one of the most viewer-friendly film festivals that I have ever attended.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
seeing it help careers and change lives!
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
meeting young filmmakers from all over the world...
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
wonderful people, from all over the world! They give 4-2 months to help the festival happen.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
give away more cash grants, bring in even more filmmakers and be able to have a larger paid staff!
