Review for Wounded Warrior Project, Jacksonville, FL, USA
After being wounded while forward deployed I was medevac’d to Germany. While there I was enrolled with the WWP. Once I was back in the states, I was medically retired from the Navy. I felt abandoned by everyone; I could not see the light and I was depressed spiraling down. WWP contacted me; they were following up to offer me any and all assistance I needed. I was given a lot of support, specifically from the “Warriors to Work Program”. The Kansas City office supported me and continues to do so, their compassion and support is second to none. When the military made me feel abandoned WWP stepped up. Just knowing that I had a team behind me that cared and wanted to help me, gave me back the confidence to go back to work. WWP helped me locate jobs that I could succeed at regardless of my injuries. I just accepted a job that I feel like I can succeed at. I am excited about starting this chapter of my life and being able to support my family again! I have WWP to thank for all of this, their programs are great and the staff has been incredible.
