As a long time former supporter, "visitor", then staff member I can no longer recommend this ministry. It puts on a great show for the one week mission groups/"visitors" but the behind the facade and nice facilities reality is very different. The outreach ministry model and method of "orphan" care is extremely outdated, ineffective, and harmful. It has a poor reputation in the community and has left many vulnerable children and former staff devastated. My concerns are with this ministries very poor integrity, leadership accountability structure, ethics, and financial stewardship. There has been ongoing financial corruption, illegal activity, ignoring chronic theft, ongoing and blatant lying to donors, abuse of children (sexual, physical etc.), and silencing and discrediting staff who know what actually goes on. The place runs like a very insulated commune and utilizes manipulation, fear and oppression to convince staff to close their eyes and shut their mouths. Be careful with this ministry. They are great at creating an experience for visiting tourists and good at PR but it's not healthy place by any standard...especially a Christian one.
