My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for Artists Cooperative for Personal and Professional Advancement Inc, Norristown, PA, USA
I have had the most fulfilling, live changing experience working at ACPPA. I found this organization through a work-study program at my college and have been working there for 5 months. From the start, I have learned to appreciate the hard work that is put into making an non-profit organization be successful. ACPPA resembles the love I had for dancing as a child, however, the economic instability at home didn't allow me to continue perusing dance classes. ACPPA is able to provide amazing dance, art, yoga classes at affordable prices to families that need them. I have become a better person working at ACPPA and have been inspired to pursue a career in helping families in need. I wish that everyone knew how GREAT this organization is.
More Feedback
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
learning about myself and the passion I have in helping those families, especially those children, in Norristown who benefit from taking our classes.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
make sure that we had the amount of money necessary to continue all our programs successfully and more to create new programs to reach out to more students, especially teenagers who could benefit from having safe, fun classes keeping them off the street.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
working with the Artistic Director, Amy Grebe. She is an amazing person who gives and gives for this organization and continues to fight for her dreams in continuing the success of ACPPA.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
very friendly, loving, and dedicated to the goals of the organization
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
become the BEST non-profit organization in all of Norristown. We would have a larger location, we would have bigger classes, we would have more dance and art classes, we would have more costumes for performances, a teen program, parent programs, ETC ETC
Ways to make it better...
I were not a college student and could work more hour and accomplish more tasks that would help the organization. Also, it would be better if we were able to concentrate more in organizing events rather than worry about our economic problems.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
the economic struggles that continue to hinder our ability to create all the programs and host all the events that we wish we could provide for our families.
One thing I'd also say is that...
I have never been involved with an organization that cares so much about the people that it serves and fights through all the obstacles in order to achieve the goals it sets out for itself in order to provide the best service possible.
